Jagakarsa Urban Village Head, Muhammad Hasan said the landslide on the embankment of the water channel occurred on Monday (11/11) due to heavy rain accompanied by strong winds.
"The landslide was triggered by the roots of a big banyan tree with a diameter of 2.5 meters falling," he expressed, Thursday (11/14).

The landslide handling process was targeted to be completed this weekend. He deployed 30 personnel every day consisting of the SDA Satpel and Tamhut Satpel of Jagakarsa Sub-district and PPSU of Jagakarsa Urban Village.
"Hope the process will run smoothly and I also urge residents to always be alert to the current weather," he hoped.
Lenteng Agung Market Head, Diana Viryanti expressed his gratitude to all related elements who helped handle the landslide caused by the fallen banyan tree.
The fallen banyan tree caused a 13-meter long and five-meter high retaining wall to collapse.
"Hopefully, our cooperation in dealing with this landslide can run well and smoothly," he hoped.
